Ministry of Tourism letter No. 3569 dated 9-8-2026: The necessity of adhering to the instructions for refrigerated and frozen food storage and preservation.

SYRIAN ARAB REPUBLIC MINISTRY OF TOURISM Ref: 2569 Date: August 9, 2026 To: Federation of Tourism Chambers Based on the provisions of Law No. 23 of 2022, and out of our keenness to ensure compliance with the conditions for food preservation and safe handling within tourism establishments, you are hereby notified of the necessity for strict adherence to the requirements for refrigerated and frozen preservation and storage. It is mandatory to follow the health and operational regulations attached to this circular, particularly regarding temperatures, preservation periods, segregation between raw and ready-to-eat foods, and the safety of receiving and storage processes. We also wish to emphasize that any violation of food preservation conditions, or the display of spoiled food, items unfit for human consumption, or products non-compliant with safety standards, shall entail the penalties, fines, and closures stipulated in the aforementioned law.
