Ministry of Tourism Launches Tour Guide Qualification Course with 76 Trainees
Today marked the launch of the qualification course for those seeking a license to work as tour guides nationwide, with 76 male and female trainees from across the governorates who successfully passed the preparatory exams and oral interviews.
The course runs for six weeks with a total of 120 training hours, covering lectures on Syrian heritage, key tourism routes, and tour-guiding techniques, in addition to field visits to heritage and tourism sites across Syria.
Upon completing the theoretical and practical training, successful participants will be granted a license to practice the profession and represent Syria culturally and touristically, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to support tourism recovery and raise professional standards in the sector.
